Hey Parents, I totally get all the questions swirling around in your head when it comes to picking the right option for your kiddo's oral health. So, let's dive into the nitty-gritty and clear up any doubts you might have, shall we?

1. My child only has one tooth, surely this isn’t recommended yet?

  • If I could see parents during their pregnancy journey this would allow me to work with them from the very moment those teeth are forming inside the womb and start building a relationship to take away all the uncertainly of oral health leaving parents free to enjoy those moments with their little ones knowing I am taking care of their smiles. So yes it's most definately recommended.

2. Are teeth really that important?

Absolutely. YES

  • Baby teeth hold space for adult teeth and are crucial for chewing, speaking, and appearance. Neglecting baby teeth can lead to pain, infections, and problems in overall development, expensive dental treatments, long-term effects on adults can be felt every-day with the parent that hides their smiles, is scared to go to the dentist, spent years at the orthodontic office these little mouths create the pathway for our dental journey.

3.What if my child isn’t ready for their on the day examination?

  • I never push a child that is not ready, it’s all about creating a positive experience and those traumatizing moments lead to a lifetime of dental anxiety. You will still receive all aspects of the program service but at the deposit cost without the physical examination.

4. Health funds and medicare rebates:

  • I totally understand the worry about health fund and Medicare rebates: it's something I've thought long and hard about. The thing is, sticking strictly to those item numbers kind of puts us in a box. It limits us to just a 'check of the teeth,' and that's not what I'm all about. I want to give you and your little one a service that's tailored just for you, packed with all the information and care you need.

So, while I do step away from those restricting numbers, I haven't forgotten about them completely. Whenever possible, I'll include item numbers 011, 014, 012 on your invoice, along with my provider number 6302742K. That way, you can still make a claim if you're eligible.

And hey, if you're eligible for the Medicare Child Dental Benefit Schedule, no worries there either. You'll get a receipt after payment, and you can claim it back through Medicare. It's all about making sure you get the best care without getting tangled up in the red tape.

5. Can I come to the session on the day?

  • Ah, I totally get wanting to be there during the session. It's natural to want to be by your little one's side. However, having parents attend can sometimes slow things down a bit, which means I can't help as many families as I'd like. It's a bit like when you take your child to the dentist and things take a bit longer than expected.

But don't worry, I've got a solution! If it's really important for you to be there, I offer home visits. This way, you can be right there with your kiddo in the comfort of your own home. You can easily book a home visit through our website right here. I want to make sure this works for you and your family, so let's find the best way to make it happen!

6.Payments and Deposits - why do I have to make them? I get it….. Trust me!

  • I take a 50% deposit as the moment you book the appointment you receive an abundance of tools and strategies to help see what I see and join the community of this new ere in oral health development, these are non-refundable…. Why? Because the program itself it where the value is held the on-going support and advice you receive is more than “just checking the teeth.

What happens if Jamie Lee recommends a further assessment?

  • If your child needs further assessment, here's how I'll handle it: First, I'll have a detailed chat about what I've observed and why I believe additional evaluation is necessary. I'll explain everything in clear, easy-to-understand terms, so you know exactly what's going on and why it's important.

  • Then, I'll outline the next steps, which could include a referral to a health professional who's just right for your child's specific needs. I'll help coordinate this process, ensuring you have all the necessary information and support to make it as smooth and stress-free as possible.

And don't worry, I'll be here to answer any questions you have along the way and to provide guidance. My goal is to ensure your little one gets the best possible care and to keep you informed and comfortable with the process.

7.Does this mean an additonal fee?

Yes, if a further assessment is needed, it would mean another appointment outside of our session, which would typically involve additional costs. I understand this might not be what you were hoping to hear, but ensuring your child receives the most comprehensive care sometimes requires insights from specialists in specific areas of health.

I'll do my best to guide you through this process, providing referrals to trusted professionals who share our commitment to gentle, child-focused care. While it does mean an additional step, it's all about making sure your little one gets the best possible support for their oral health.

Here's what you're getting:
